Progression
Watercolor paintings follow the progression – light to dark.
Basically you leave out the lightest parts of the painting and make light
patches of paint around those parts.
You make lighter versions of the painting
and then darken wherever required as below.
Here I ,accidently made it more dark than intented and therefore, afterwards,I had to use tissue paper to lift away some of the wet paint to get the white spot effect which is apparent in the final painting.
Now I add details over the lighter version. Adding darker patches and shapes wherever needed.
I have used tissue paper to remove the wet paint on the left farther most part of the scenary as well as parts of the near portion of the path and then resumed brush strokes.
The part where the fence comes has been left unpainted.
Now just the finishing touches like the partitions in the rice-field and outline of the fence etc.
This final part in a watercolor painting we add all the dark patches where ever required.and thats it .. :D
